Welcome to The CD Information Center, an informative website for optical media. Here you will find information about Compact Disc (CD), Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) and Blu-ray Disc (BD) in all their forms (ROM and Recordable formats), especially how they are manufactured, duplicated and used for digital publishing.
We also cover duplication equipment such as, CD and DVD recorders (burners), duplicators, publishers, printers as well as software. Some aspects of the optical disc data storage, publishing and duplication industries and history are presented, along with information about new developments in this field. We also offer links to other great websites with more information on these subjects.
Site News and Changes
We are in the process of updating and expanding The CD Information Center with lots of new information. Please take a minute to check out our new sections which feature information on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray formats. We have also added several new pages to the Resources section and updated the Humor section with some great comics related to optical media.
The site is slowly undergoing a complete revision. If you are a returning visitor, you will instantly notice our new look. But the changes go deeper than surface appearances. We are also examining and updating all of the articles that appear on this site and even reorganizing the directory structure. The original framework has served us well for the past fifteen years, but now it is time to bring it into the present.
