CDrtools Information

Cdrtools (formerly Cdrecord) allows you to create CD's on a CD-Recorder from the command line. Cdrtools runs on:

SunOS 4.1.3 or later:


Solaris 2.3 or later:

sparc and x86.


x86, sparc and alpha.

  • Mkisofs-1.11 included to allow Solaris users to read the old session from the CD-R device by using the scsi library.

    The cdrecord distribution contains a SCSI user level transport library. The SCSI library is suitable to talk to any SCSI device without having a special driver for it.
